KVTA is dedicated to promoting youth, junior, and adult tennis and pickleball at all levels in central Maine.

Our award-winning indoor facility at A-Copi Tennis & Sports Center features four courts for tennis and pickleball.

Our Story

The Kennebec Valley Tennis Association was formed in 2004 after the indoor facility in Augusta, Maine closed unexpectedly. The organization worked tirelessly for over seven years to reestablish indoor tennis in Augusta. With an active board of directors, a facility manager, a head pro and two part time instructors and desk staff, we have built our program with the goal of promoting youth and adult tennis in the greater Augusta area. 

We offer private and group lessons, including Red Ball, Orange Ball, Triples, Cardio Tennis, and high school, middle school, and adult drills along with pickleball, social scrambles, and mixers. We are actively promoting our programs throughout the community and offering opportunities to day cares, schools, and adult education programs.  Our youth program is popular. One of our main goals now is to enhance our juniors program.

In 2014, we were presented with the USTA-NE Organization of the Year Award, and in 2015 we were awarded the MTA Indoor Club of the Year award. USPTA named KVTA the 2017 New England Small Facility of the year!
